Description

We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join our growing team on a full-time basis (37.5 hours per week), this is an exciting opportunity for a strategic and commercially minded professional to play a key role in expanding our presence across domestic, commercial, and short-term rental cleaning sectors.

The successful candidate will lead business growth initiatives by identifying new market opportunities, developing sales strategies, and managing client relationships to ensure long-term success. Working closely with senior management and operations teams, you will contribute to service development, revenue target setting, and promotional planning, while maintaining a strong focus on customer satisfaction and market competitiveness.

Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with senior management and operations staff to determine which cleaning services to offer, contributing to development of sales strategies and setting service and contract revenue targets.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities across domestic, commercial, and short-term rental sectors.
  • Compiles and analyses service contract volumes and revenue figures, prepares proposals for promotional cleaning packages, seasonal offers or discounts, undertakes market research to identify local demand and competitive rates.
  • Manages customer accounts including negotiating service contracts, ensuring billing and renewals, resolving issues, and maintaining client satisfaction.
  • Develop and implement strategic growth plans to increase revenue and expand market presence.
  • Discusses clients or facility managers cleaning requirements, carries out site surveys, and analyses customer feedback on service quality, pricing and schedule frequency.
  • Support the launch and adoption of the company’s client app, including gathering client feedback, promoting usage, and suggesting improvements.
  • Produce reports and recommendations for senior management regarding which cleaning services or markets to expand into, pricing adjustments, promotional campaigns, and sales strategy tweaks.
  • Keeps up to date with competitor cleaning companies’ offerings, new cleaning technologies, green, eco‑friendly products, and regulatory standards (health, safety and hygiene), adapting service range or practices accordingly.

Key Skills:

  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or client relationship management, preferably within the services or facilities management sector.
  • Strong understanding of strategic planning, market research, and business growth techniques.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to build long-term client relationships.
  • Self-motivated, target-driven, and able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment.
